Genevieve Howard

Ireland, b. 1992

Genevieve Howard graduated with a BA in Metals and Jewellery from the National College of Art and Design, Dublin, Ireland in 2015. With a background as an accomplished musician, she incorporates her passion for classic and contemporary music into three-dimensional forms. By translating musical scores into her own form of graphic notation, Genevieve creates tactile and wearable pieces combining laser-cutting technology with traditional metalworking techniques.

Genevieve’s work was shortlisted as part of the 2016 Mari Funaki Award for Contemporary Jewellery, where she was awarded a High Commendation in the emerging category. The pieces she exhibited in the Award have been subsequently acquired by the National Gallery of Victoria.
