Dublin-based aritst Genevieve Howard’s Song of the Chanter necklace and bracelet have recently been acquired by the National Gallery of Victoria.

Genevieve’s jewellery practice is closely tied to her passion for music. She graduated with a Degree in Metals and Jewellery from the National College of Art and Design in 2015, and is also an accompished musician (her instrument is the harp). Genevieve translates pieces of music into tactile and wearable forms, by using new technologies such as laser cutting combined with traditional handmade and metalwork techniques.

The Song of the Chanter necklace and bracelet set were highly commended in the Mari Funaki Award 2016. We congratulate Genevieve on this significant acquisition.
