Godwin Baum
Germany, b. 1955
German artist Godwin Baum uses classical techniques and materials to create refined, sleek and beautifully wearable jewellery. He was active in Australia from 1982 to 1993, working closely with artists such as Marian Hosking, Susan Cohn and Carlier Makigawa, before settling in Germany. Godwin returned to Australia for a three month residency and exhibition at Gallery Bilk in Canberra in 2015. His work is held in the collection of the National Gallery of Australia and other public institutions. He lives and works in Büdingen, Germany.
